Nearly 450 exhibitors spanned three levels of Moscone West and showcased their technologies, projects, and business models at the Intersolar and ees North America exhibitions. Six exhibition segments are represented: PV Cells, Modules & Systems; PV Manufacturing Equipment, Materials & Components; Balance of Systems; Mounting and Tracking Systems; Solar Heating & Cooling Technologies; and electrical energy storage.
Attendees can see the newest solar modules, racking systems, balance of system components, inverters, battery technologies and storage systems, and meet with representatives from market leaders from across the United States and the world. Additionally, several exhibition pavilions including the California Solar Pavilion and California Storage Pavilion, sponsored by the California Solar and Storage Association, feature many emerging companies.
The Innovation and Application Stage and ees Stage have hosted a variety of exhibitor presentations, as well as special ceremonies recognizing what’s next for solar and storage. Several finalists of the Intersolar, ees and Smarter E AWARDs presented their projects and innovations, including ees AWARD winner Dynapower on Tuesday. On the ees Stage, the Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) also held its annual 2018 3iAward ceremony to honor the nation’s energy heroes and innovative projects bringing smart solutions to today’s complex renewable energy and energy efficiency challenges. Award applications were accepted in six categories: Community/Shared Renewables, State & Local Government Initiatives, Regulatory Champion, IREC Accredited Training Provider, IREC Certified Clean Energy Trainer, and for the first time, IREC Young Clean Energy Innovator. The exhibitor presentations will continue tomorrow, along with several NABCEP workshops.
The expo floor will be open tomorrow, Thursday, July 12, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
